Anthony Maista, Jr.

Anthony passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 14, 2021, at the age of 80, of Westmont, NJ.

Beloved husband of Mary C. (nee Santana).  Loving father of Michael Maista (Cathleen) of Hilltop, NJ, Nicholas Maista (Samantha Schramak) of Atco, NJ and Alex Maista (Kristin) of Haddon Heights.  Proud grandfather of Michael, Jr., Julianna, Desmond, Gideon, Annelise and Breña. Dear brother of the late Kenneth and Robert Maista.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Anthony was a teacher at Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia for 30 years, an Adjunct Professor for many colleges and a 4 ^th Degree Knight of Columbus for Marian Council #3784.  He enjoyed swing dancing, big band music and played the clarinet and saxophone. Anthony had a love for talking and being with people.  He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday, February 19 ^th from 6 to 8 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ.  Anthony’s Eulogy will begin 11:45 AM followed by his funeral mass, Saturday, February 20 ^th 12 noon at St. Joseph the Worker Parish St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ 08033.
