Angel Luis Acevedo "Chiva"

Angel Luis “Chiva” passed away peacefully at home in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of the late JoAnn M. Acevedo. Loving father of Kenneth Reeve (Paula) of Delair, NJ, Tina Luca (nee Reeve) (David) of Wilmington, DE, Angelina L. Cruz (nee Acevedo) (Eddie) of Camden, NJ, Angelo Acevedo, Jr. (Shannon) of Maple Shade, NJ, adopted daughter Juanita “Nina” Zeigler (Charles) of Camden, NJ. Proud Pop Pop of Kenny Jr. (Katie), Jason (Vicki), Chelsea, Sierra, Eddie Angel, Jeremy, Angelo III, Dominic, Marissa, adopted granddaughter Ashley, great granddaughter Harper & great grandson Rowan. Dear brother of Andres Acevedo, Aida L. Velez, Carmen L. Ortiz, Elba Luz Diaz, Awilda R. Delgado and the late Eleuterio Acevedo, Julio Enrique Acevedo, Gilberto Acevedo, Angelica Franqui.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews that he considered his own children, his surviving uncle, Pedro Diaz “Uncle Pete” and his longtime family friends of many years, Dorothy & Harold Cogill, Vinny, Carol, Barbara & Debbie.

Angel enjoyed playing his lottery numbers, spending quality time with his family and friends, working with his hands, flea marketing and loved his music and dancing when he was able.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, March 21 ^st from 8:30 to 9:30AM, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market St, Camden, NJ 08102, followed by his Funeral Mass at 9:45AM.
