Albert D'Alonzo

On Tuesday, February 6, 2007, Age 89, of Haddon Township, NJ, died peacefully at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees of natural causes. Beloved husband of 58 years of Christine D’Alonzo (Nee Amore). Loving father of John D’Alonzo and his wife Donna of Queensbury, NY, Albert D’Alonzo, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bensalem, PA, Nancy Elder and her husband Clifford of Toms River, NJ, and Christine Beam and her husband Stephen of Marlton, NJ. Devoted grandfather of Kimberly, Jennifer, Sandra, Adam, Jeremy and Stephen. Mr. D’Alonzo was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School and Villanova University. He worked as a Licensed Civil Engineer at the Aviation Supply Office (formerly, Naval Supply Depot) in Philadelphia for 20 years from where he retired in 1980. In retirement he constantly worked on projects around the house and maintained a productive garden of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing cards. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday, February 10th from 9:30 -10:45 AM at Holy Saviour Church, 50 Emerald Ave, Westmont, NJ 08108. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM at the Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
