(Nee Locke), On August 16, 2010, age 92, of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Westmont, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. “Babe” Smith, Jr. Loving mother of Marlene B. Slimm of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Westmont, Edward J. Smith, III (Bea) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and William Smith of Florida, formerly of Blackwood, NJ. Dear Grandmother of 9, Great grandmother of 21 and Great-great grandmother of 10. Martha was a member and Past President of the Westmont Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the VFW Post #713 Westmont, Post # 3247 Cherry Hill, and Post #7247 Barrington. She was a VFW Camden County District President 1976-77 and a member of the American Legion Post 230 Westmont and Post 286 Pine Hill. Martha was Past Unit President and Past County President 1961-62. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at HOLY SAVIOUR CHURCH, 50 Emerald Avenue, Westmont, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
