Michael A. Vitelli "Mikey"

Suddenly, with his wife at his side, on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, age 67, of Westmont, NJ, formerly of Cramer Hill in Camden.

Beloved husband of Susan R. (Nee Szymanski).  Loving father of Tracy Heckers (Jim), Michelle Schmitt (Kevin) and Kathleen Hartshaw (Tommy). Dear brother of Cathy Pantilione (Joe), Frank Vitelli and the late Joseph Vitelli.  Proud grandfather of Brandon Heckers, Ellen Hartshaw, Michael Schmitt, Kaitlyn Schmitt, Emily Hartshaw and Kendall Schmitt.

Mike was a 44 year member of the Westmont Fire Co. No. 1 attaining rank as Assistant Chief.  He worked 28 years in Law Enforcement retiring as a Sgt. with D.R.P.A.  Mikey for 35 years was the portrayer of Westmont’s Santa Claus for the Fire Co. He loved to travel and take long rides on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  Mikey’s world was his wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tue., Jan. 24 ^th from 6 – 9 PM at SAINT TERESA OF CALCUTTA PARISH, Holy Saviour Church, 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108.  Mass of Christian Burial Wed., Jan. 25 ^th at 10:30 AM.  Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Mike’s memory may be made to Westmont Fire Co. No. 1, 120 Haddon Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108.
