Herbert H. Jones "Herb"

Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 8, 2017 age 87, of Oaklyn, formerly of Westmont, NJ.  Beloved husband of Virginia T. “Ginny” (Nee Kelly).  Loving father of Steve M. Jones (Karin) of Blackwood, NJ and Diane L. Jones of Moorestown, NJ.  The No. 1 fan and loving “Pop” to his grandchildren: Katie Marrocco (Christopher), Kelly Weyl (Nathan), Daniel Jones (Rebecca), Michael Barteld and Alex Jackson.  Very proud great-grandpop of Jacob Marrocco.  He is survived by his sister Grace George and brother Patrick Jones, both of Picayune, MS. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  One of nine children born in Picayune, MS to John J. & Grace Johnson Jones, he was pre-deceased by six of his brothers & sisters.

Herb was the Founder and President of Ab-tech Refrigeration, Inc., providing residential refrigeration service to the local community for more than 35 years.  Proud of his country, Herb was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was a parishioner of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Collingswood and Holy Saviour in Westmont for 60 years.  Herb enjoyed traveling the world with Ginny, the love of his life.  He loved the seashore, and owned homes in Sea Isle City, Mystic Island and Brigantine, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday, Jan. 11 ^th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at SAINT TERESA OF CALCUTTA PARISH, Holy Saviour Church, 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Herb’s memory may be made to Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
