Christine M. D'Alonzo

(Nee Amore) On Monday, February 1, 2016, Age 94, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Haddon Township, NJ, died peacefully at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees of natural causes.

Beloved wife of 58 years to the late Albert D’Alonzo. Loving mother of John D’Alonzo (Donna) of Fallbrook, CA, Albert D’Alonzo, Jr. (Patricia) of Langhorne, PA, Nancy Elder (Clifford) of Atlantic City, NJ, and Christine Beam (Stephen) of Marlton, NJ. Devoted grandmother of Kimberly Cruty (Stephen), Jennifer, Sandra, Adam (Amy), Jeremy Elder and Stephen Beam. Survived by Loving sister Mary and many nieces & nephews.

Born of immigrant parents, she was the eldest of 4 siblings. Mrs. D’Alonzo was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. She worked as a supervisor of the secretarial pool at the Philadelphia Navy Yard until she married. She had many hobbies, including sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She constantly worked on projects around the house and maintained a productive garden of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Christine especially loved spending time with her family. In addition, she enjoyed music, bowling, cooking, and playing cards.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, February 6th from 9:00 -10:15 AM at Holy Saviour Church, 50 Emerald Ave, Westmont, NJ 08108. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM at the Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
