Marjorie E. Jersey

(Nee Markley) On October 1, 2015, Age 98, of Westmont, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia, PA.

Beloved wife of the late John C. Jersey. Loving mother of David E. Jersey (Carol) of Jasper, GA and Joann C. Garwood (Jon) of Westmont, NJ. Dear grandmother Samantha Garwood of Westmont, NJ, Jeannine Bailey (Steven) of Birmingham, AL, Kevin Jersey (Elaine) of Van Nuys, CA, Jessica Jersey of Ocean Pines, MD and the late Zachary Garwood. Great grandmother of Diana Bailey.

Marjorie was devoted to her entire family, including her extended family the McKearney’s and Garwood’s. She served her country in the Navy during World War II as a Hospital Apprentice First Class at Bethesda Naval Hospital and a member of the Navy's Singing Platoon. Marjorie worked in banking for many years and enjoyed ceramics and needle work. She was member of her Church choir in Philadelphia for many years and a member the Westmont United Methodist Church for over 30 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial service Saturday, Oct. 17th, 11 AM at WESTMONT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 200 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marjorie’s memory may be made to Westmont UMC.
