Thomas J. "Jay" Tull

On March 12, 2015, Age 84, of Westmont, NJ, formerly of Runnemede, NJ.

Beloved husband of the late Marie A. Tull (Nee Walsh). Loving father of Kathryn M. Jones of Westmont, NJ, Joan M. Chapman (Pat) of Sewell, NJ, Susan E. Tull of Westmont, NJ, Mark M. Tull (MaryLou) of San Diego, CA and Jerry X. Tull (Elizabeth) of Pennington, NJ, and the late Anne C. Zmijewski. Dear brother of Charles Tull (Mickey) of IN, and the Hon. Theresa Tull of VA. Adoring grandfather of Jonathan (Alex), Lauren, Tom (Polina), Alex, Matt (Emily), Eric, Anna and Morgan. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.

Tom was a dedicated Social Worker who lived his life to better the lives of others. He spent 38 years in his profession, and rose to become the Director of Camden County’s Board of Social Services. He was also a Vice-Chairmen of the Camden County Red Cross and was a trustee of the Food Bank of South Jersey. Tom loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and relatives in Avalon. He also loved sports and had a particular passion for horse racing and football. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends and traveling the local roads of southern New Jersey. Tom served his country as a paratrooper during the Korean War.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Twp., NJ. Visitation Wednesday morning from 10 to 10:30AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish HOLY SAVIOUR CHURCH, 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
