Elizabeth E. "Bette" Harrison

July 24, 1925 — December 25, 2014

Elizabeth Enders Harrison, 89, of Haddonfield, New Jersey, died suddenly Christmas Day at her home.
Born in Albion, New Jersey, she grew up in Atlantic City, moving to Haddonfield in 1941. Upon graduating from Haddonfield Memorial High School, Bette was recruited to be the personal secretary for Arthur Berry, district manager of Bell Telephone in Camden, New Jersey.

Bette and her late husband, Hank, purchased the Haddonfield landmark “Farrows Gift Shop” in 1969, renaming it “Harrisons of Haddonfield" in 1995, where she was still active in its daily operation.

Bette was one of the oldest members of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Cooper Hospital and Secretary for the Haddonfield Business Association.

She is survived by her son, Brett, and his wife, Ethel, of Haddonfield; her daughter, Marlee Lick, and her husband, Stephen, of Haddonfield; one brother, Evan Enders, of South Hadley, MA; and as adored “Mere” of her grandchildren: Gwendolyn and Charlotte Harrison; Matthew (Courtney), Ryan (Jenna), and Benjamin (Carrie) Kelly; and Adam, Bryan, and Evan Lick; and great-grandchildren: Nathan, Brock and Jack Kelly.

Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Hank; her mother, Erva Kimmel; her brother, Warner Enders; and her sister, Barbara Baylie; and daughter, Cheryl Kelly.

Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family from the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME of Haddon Township, New Jersey.
