On February 10, 2008, age 89, of Haddonfield, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Anna M. Shreve (Nee Paluzzi). Devoted father of Robert M. Shreve, Sr. and his wife Barbara of Haddonfield, NJ. Dear brother of the late Mabel Horner. Loving Grandfather of Robert M. Shreve, Jr. and his wife Deanne of Westmont, NJ, Sandra Finnegan and her husband Jim of Haddon Hts., NJ, and Rebecca Rutter and her husband Eric of Cherry Hill, NJ. Proud Great grandfather of Robert John Shreve, Ryan, Kiran and Mackenna Finnegan, Thomas and Matthew Rutter. Mr. Shreve was a WW II Navy Veteran. He was a self employed heating & roofing contractor and in his retirement was known as the “village tinsmith”. He was the founder of Haddonfield Little League Baseball. He was active with Haddon Fire Co. for 55 yrs. serving as Asst. Chief as well as Haddonfield Boro Fire Marshal for over 25 yrs. He was an honored member of the Chapel of 4 Chaplains, a member of the American Legion Post 38 Haddonfield and also a longtime member of Post 38 Last Man’s Club. He was an avid hunter & fisherman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and Friday morning from 10 to 11AM at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Road, Haddonfield, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Interment Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery, Haddonfield, NJ.
