(Nee Rohr) On February 16, 2012, Age 84, of Westmont, NJ. Beloved wife of the late L. Kenneth Carey. Loving mother of Cheryl Averell (Thomas) of Westmont, NJ, Debra Gellert of Oak Hill, VA, and Paul Carey (Jamie) of Bozeman, MT. Dear sister of Ethel McAdams. Devoted grandmother of Ruth Sanders (Benjamin) of OR, Mark Averell (Allyson) of NJ, Andrea Gellert of VA, Christie Gellert of VA, Andrew Carey of MT, Kaitlin Carey of MT, Timothy Carey of MT, Sarah Carey & Alex Carey of MT. Great grandmother of Breanna Sanders & Bayley Sanders. Ruth graduated from Collingswood High School in 1945. She worked for Warren Lightening Co. for over 20 years as office manager. Ruth was member of the Westmont United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was church secretary for nearly two decades and served in many leadership positions over the years. Her heart was in the missions. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday from 10 to 12 noon at the WESTMONT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 200 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108, followed by her funeral service at 12 noon.
