Charles E. "Chick" Burroughs, Jr.

On July 24, 2007, Age 80 of Collingswood, NJ. Beloved husband of Esther L. Burroughs (Nee Perkins). Dear father of Ruth L. Schoenewald of St. Paul, MN and Charles D. Burroughs and his wife Susan of Alexandria, VA. Grandfather of Christian J. Schoenewald, Susan L. Burroughs, Kate Anne Burroughs and Charles F. Burroughs. Also survived by his cousin Ruby Knauf of Seaford, DE. Charles was a United States Army Veteran serving at the end of World War II. He worked as an Advertising Salesman for the Courier Post for 10 years, followed by the Philadelphia Inquirer where he retired after 34 years. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
