William T. Lavell

On April 23, 2011, Age 82, of Westmont, NJ. Beloved husband of 57 years of Rita B. Lavell (Nee Benedetti). Loving father of William T. Lavell (PattiKay) of Annapolis, MD, Joseph Lavell of Westmont, NJ, and John Lavell (Christina) of Westmont, NJ. Dear brother of Margaret Healey, Sister Miriam Theresa, RSM, and the late Catherine Kowal & Henry Williamson. Grandfather of Elizabeth, Rebecca, Emily, Victoria, Patrick & Catherine. Great grandfather of three. Bud graduated from Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia, PA in 1947. He was in the US Coast Guard serving in Korea. Bud was an active member and former Commander of VFW Post 713. He graduated from Temple University in 1957. Bud had an extremely successful 31 year career in Haddon Heights High School as an English teacher, Dramatics Coach, Swimming Coach, Girl’s Track Coach and Stage Crew Director. He was a Cross Country and Track & Field Official for over 30 years. Bud will be remembered by all as a dedicated and loyal educator. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday 7 to 9 PM at the JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Avenue, Westmont, NJ 08108. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 AM at SACRED HEART CHURCH, 1739 Ferry Ave., Camden, NJ 08104. Committal with Military Honors will take place at Harleigh Cemetery, Main Mausoleum, Camden, NJ. Contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to the William T.
