Theodore A. Verlander, Jr. "Ted"

On January 13, 2011, Age 93, of Haddon Twp, NJ, formerly of Haddonfield, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Margaret S. Verlander (Nee Seery). Loving father of Theodore A. Verlander, III. Devoted grandfather of Theodore A. Verlander, IV, William Verlander (Melissa) and Andrew Verlander. Great grandfather of Faith Elizabeth. Mr. Verlander was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Ted attended the Wharton School of Business. He worked at Camden Safe Deposit Trust Co., and the Pennsylvania Railroad Co, where he was Director of Corporate Finance. He was a piano player and worked many clubs in S. Jersey. Ted was an avid yachtsman and Past Commodore of the Skippers Club of NJ. He & his late wife were both longtime active members of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, where Ted was a member of the Frank Baxter Bible Class. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the HADDONFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 29 Warwick Rd., Haddonfield, NJ 08033, followed by his funeral service at 11 AM. Interment, Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. The family requests contributions in his memory be made to the Haddonfield United Methodist Church.
